Have you ever found yourself in that weird, numbing sensation when you lose track of what you really want to do in life and how you’ll ever be successful at it? Don’t lie. It happens to all of us, and rightfully so. A lot of the time, this feeling eats us up, and we’ll find ourselves buried in a pillow contemplating how we’re ever going to survive. It’s okay, though. Luckily, other people have had this sudden dilemma in the past and have found ways to overcome it, shut it down and prove themselves wrong. And to be even more generous, they’ve written down their strategies to allow people to follow a similar path.
So, if you’re ever contemplating dropping out of college and hiding under a rock for the rest of your life, go find these books and enlighten yourself a little bit. They totally changed my outlook!
This is a classic awarding-winning novel that won’t take you more than a week to read.
First off, it’s super, super good. (Just had to put that out there.) Secondly, it will open your eyes to all the potential you possess as a young, soul-searching individual. What a sigh of relief, right?
The book’s plot is about a young man named Santiago who is on a journey to discover his identity and purpose in life. The simple, metaphorical lessons he picks up on his journey are meant to inspire readers to take risks and big steps in life. I highly recommend giving it a read it while you’re young and looking to plan out a future; you won’t regret it, I promise.
This book right here will do exactly what its title implies. Napoleon Hill puts into words how to overcome life’s fears, obstacles, challenges and tough times and how to be confident when doing so.
Dealing with outside stress is something that is extremely common amongst students and recent college grads, and if you cannot take care of it, potential for growth and success can be quite detrimental. Hill is very famous for his books on personal success and how to achieve the most in life, and with his knowledge being available to you for free (with the use of your school’s library, of course), you’ll find yourself changing for the better, and your friends will be totally jealous.
This, just like the other two books mentioned, will teach you more about yourself than you would ever think. I won’t ruin it for you since, of course, it is the “Book of Secrets,” but the secret is that it’s truly worth the read.
Chopra outlines in unique fashion so many important life aspects such as, how to converse with people knowledgeably, how to carefully examine the world around you and how to take in and process information in the most efficient ways. Again, don’t be the one to read this when you’re older and realize you only have so much time left to reach your potential. Go do this now!
To uncover success in your personal life and career, you not only have to be confident and composed, but you also must have a good perspective on yourself and the future. For students and millennials all together, this can be extremely stressful, and the pressure can be somewhat overbearing. These books obviously won’t have all the answers, but they are definitely a good way to help get your mind on the path to a successful future.
