4 Reasons to Use WayUp for Your Job Search

As the largest online marketplace for students and recent grads to find internships, part-time work and full-time jobs, WayUp is here for you– from helping you get your first job during college to guiding you towards the right career after you graduate. With hundreds of thousands of users on our site now (and growing!), we have a wide range of jobs for you — whether you want to make some money working part-time or get internship experience or a full-time job.  That’s why we want to speak to the students and recent grads still struggling with their search — the users who aren’t on WayUp. You shouldn’t have to hustle alone. Here are four reasons to use WayUp for your job search:

1. Three words: One-click apply.

You read that right. When you first fill out your profile, we ask you to write some information about yourself and upload your resume.  At most, employers will have you answer a few questions about yourself and why you want the position, but if they don’t choose to include any questions, you can submit an application just by clicking the apply button. That means you can submit 10 applications in 20 seconds and be assured there won’t be typos or any mistakes.

2. A public profile page featuring your accomplishments.

Your public profile page has everything about you – from your extracurriculars and hobbies to your major and related classwork. It acts as an amazing and comprehensive online resume for employers to see when they’re checking out your profile or reviewing your application.  Because it’s a public link, we recommend including it in the signature of your email just to show it off :D.

3. Employers can come to you.

If you meet the criteria employers put into our “Search Students” page, then when your profile shows up in their results, employers can invite you to apply for open positions. It’s pretty cool to know that you have a good chance of getting the job before you even apply. (And it’s also a great incentive to fill out a full and robust profile to increase your chances of showing up in the results!)

4. Our first priority is you.

We just graduated from college, like yesterday. (No, seriously we’re a pretty young team.) We remember all too well how difficult the job search is: the awkwardness of not having an internship when all of your friends do, the uncertainty of how to go about your job search or your interview, the stress of writing cover letters and formatting resumes, etc. All we want to do is make this process easier for you and get you hired. Not only that, but we’re also dedicated to giving you great opportunities. If we see a job come through on our site that doesn’t seem to have your best interests at heart, we either don’t approve or we ask the company to reconsider the experience they’re offering.

Check out some of the students who have been hired through our site, and if you’re reading this and you need help with your job search, sign up for a WayUp account!
