Ken Bouyer: Why is diversity important. I think at the heart of the matter for us and I think about what we stand for as a firm it’s frankly we want to build a better working world.
As it relates to our teams and this is critical for our people. Ultimately we need high performing teams to really work with our clients.
You have the highest performing teams when you have diversity amongst those teams.
It’s critical to innovation when you think about the product. When you think about Uber or when you think about Airbnb.
These disrupters as we call them without a doubt it’s about diversity of thought and perspective driving that innovation.
When you can bring those different points of view again to the clients that’s how we’re going to make a significant impact. That’s why this firm invests so much in D & I.
It’s about us It’s about our business And more importantly it’s about our people.
