Role Overview:
The Accountant plays a key role in coordinating and communicating clients' financial stories using a strategic technology stack and process flow. They work closely with clients to provide valuable financial insights and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching Calls: Educate clients on their financial position using key metrics such as gross profit, inventory turnover, and financial trends.
Review Bookkeeper’s Work: Ensure the accuracy of transactional data, maintain software integrations, and provide feedback to bookkeepers.
Balance Sheet and Reporting: Ensure accurate reflection of clients’ financials, handle adjustments, and verify reconciliations.
Control Accounting Processes: Implement and monitor process improvements and communicate necessary changes to clients.
Manage Software Stack: Optimize clients’ technology platforms and recommend additional tools.
Sales Tax Compliance: Set up and manage effective sales tax systems to ensure client compliance.
Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes, recommend HR platforms, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
Inventory Management: Advise on inventory handling and recommend suitable platforms.
Internal Meetings: Participate in regular meetings to review client objectives, provide training, and ensure priority alignment.
Meetings and Collaboration:
• Regular one-on-ones with the Director of Accounting and Bookkeepers.
• Bi-monthly Accounting Division Huddles for training and process updates.
Scope Management: Ensure client services align with agreements and manage changes with the Director of Accounting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of Client Accounting Services experience or 5 years at Ignite Spot.
• Advanced QuickBooks Online certification and proficiency in relevant apps and project management tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, and adaptability skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and in a remote environment.
Certifications: Must maintain certifications within the Ignite Spot software stack, with the option to pursue additional certifications with approval.
