    Job Summary:

    An Associate in the BDO Advisory practice, utilizes their education and skills as they serve the Firm's dynamic client base. The Resilience Associate supports clients with the design and operationalization of risk and resilience programs (i.e., enterprise risk, operational risk, third-party risk, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management) through technology enablement and product management. This role provides the opportunity to gain an understanding of what it takes to implement a risk program and the technology enable it.

    Job Duties:

    • Supports the development of solutions for clients including the development of risk analytic frameworks, policies, training materials, plans and procedures
    • Applies risk and resilience concepts to supporting tools and technology
    • Supports the design of client solutions and requirements gathering to support software configuration
    • Demonstrates an understanding of user experience (UX) principles to enhance program engagement and optimize user journeys
    • Creates compelling PowerPoint presentations
    • Participates in engagement fact finding, including the review of existing client documentation and discussions with client contacts
    • Supports the consulting team in development and tailoring of presentations, reports, activities and statements of work
    • Participates in and facilitates client workshops and prepares client work products to demonstrate key findings and conclusions
    • Tracks assigned consulting work progress, and keeps management, clients and other applicable individuals informed of status and related issues
    • Compiles client program metrics, and analyzes results using documented procedures, available tools and personal knowledge
    • Assists with business development and internal initiatives, as assigned
    • Recommends enhancements to client operations to strengthen business resiliency and recovery capabilities
    • Provides clients with strategic business continuity guidance (written and verbal) in the disciplines of business continuity, crisis management and enterprise risk management
    • Proactively identifies project risks and issues and resolves them in a timely manner
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Education

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Risk Management, required

    Experience

    • Professional client service experience, preferred

    License(s)/Certification(s)

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, required
    • Smartsheet, preferred
    • Salesforce, Fusion Risk Management, preferred

    • Exhibits proficiency in consulting methodology, materials, tools and continuity software
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and basic research skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of information
    • Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines
    • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
    • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
    • Identifies and assists in practice business development efforts, including client pursuits and proposals
    • Supports a collaborative and team-oriented environment while pushing themselves, their peers, and their teams for strong results and quality work
    • Effectively handles firm and practice administrative matters, including engagement staffing, client billing, monitoring project economics and adherence to Firm quality standards and protocols.

    Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

    Illinois Range: $74,000 - $76,000
    Maryland Range: $70,000 - $75,000
    NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $78,000
    Washington DC Range: $70,000 - $75,000
