    KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Financial Services Regulatory & Compliance Risk Capital Markets practice in Consulting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in a range of project types serving a variety of clients primarily within the Financial Services Capital Markets industry including strategy, operating model design, large-scale transformation and execution and enterprise risk management
    • Help advise financial services organizations to meet the challenges of a dynamic marketplace, changing consumer expectations and evolving global regulatory requirements through the development of a target operating model through implementation, while assessing and managing impacts on people, processes and technology
    • Assist and help guide financial institutions on the adequacy and reasonableness of their enterprise risk and compliance management programs by helping clients front, middle and back offices to mitigate risks while enhancing processes and controls to meet regulatory expectations, gain execution-related efficiencies, achieve commercial objectives, sustain fewer episodic risk management events and implement long-term strategies for transformation
    • Collect information and data through effective client interviews, system queries and internal external research
    • Complete qualitative and quantitative data analysis, present information translated to client needs and provide recommendations
    • Assist in special projects including strategic growth initiatives, business development, thought leadership creation and practice administration activities

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: bachelor's or Master's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Computer Science, Law, Management Information Systems (MIS), Industrial Engineering, Economics, or other business-related degrees
    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
    • Understanding of financial service industry including capital markets, sales and trading, wealth management and/or asset management preferred
    • Familiarity with technology concepts including intelligent automation and machine learning, system architecture and design, data management and application development preferred
    • Understanding or experience conducting data analysis, using presentation applications (Tableau, QlikView, Alteryx), working with query languages (SQL), programming/scripting languages (R, Python, VBA, Java, C++, C#, .Net), Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Methodologies and/or process design applications (ARIS, Visio) is a plus
    • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Visio
    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
    • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
