  • Responsibilities

    Within software automation application development, we enable business by focusing on technology transformation and delivery. Working collaboratively with our clients, this team:

    • Works with clients to deliver technology transformations in the way they process and deliver their services within the organization and to consumers
    • Provides hands-on development of applications across the enterprise, digital and portals, user interface and design, core processing, data analytics and storage
    • Participates across all phases of the software development life cycle in an agile/scrum development environment, which supports incremental development of high-quality, fully tested application component delivery
    • Works with business organizations to solve their most complex technology issues
    • Develops client relationships across multiple levels

    Within this team, you could be working in the following two areas:

    Integration

    • Develop applications that are aligned with the overall architectural approach and platform being used by the team(s)
    • Design and develop user interfaces to multiple internal and external applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development life cycle, completing programming using languages and software products, and designing and conducting tests
    • Assist development/test teams in activities with acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting and performance tuning as required
    • Develop integration requirements and design aligned to technology architecture
    • Ensure all integration development aligns with the integration team’s standard and leading practices
    • Assist in the creation of logic and physical specification

    Configuration

    • Apply system analysis techniques and procedures, including meeting with various resources to qualify required information, as well as analyzing and interpreting requirements
    • Develop automation applications for internal and external end users using vendor software, .NET, C#, AngularJS, jQuery, HTML5, Java and SQL to meet design specification
    • Monitor and optimize code for performance
    • Maintain code quality through unit testing
    • Participate in the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation or modification of computer systems

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, information systems or related technology majors, or related field preferred
    • Strong academic record, including, without limitation, coursework that EY deems relevant to this position
    • Zero to one year of relevant work experience
    • Ability to meet deadlines while simultaneously working on multiple projects
    • Flexibility to work on ad hoc tasks depending on requirements
    • Desire to work in a computer-related career where >80% of time is spent working on system-related activity: software configuration, development, workflow design, process design, analysis and quality assurance
    • Proficiency in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
    • Skill in SQL, .NET, C#, AngularJS, jQuery
    • Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment
    • Experience with analyzing and solving problems of a complex nature
    • Experience working with business, management and technology concepts
    • Flexible and willing to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary (an essential function of this position as travel is estimated at 0-25%)
    • Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
