    Job Summary:

    The Global Tax Outsourcing (GTO) Project Associate will help deliver exceptional client service to BDO's fast expanding client base. The GTO Project Associate will work as part of a dedicated team, taking responsibility for managing Global Portal data and leveraging it to support GTO team with meeting client deliverables. Role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data to improve Global Tax Outsourcing (GTO) Process, including but not limited to dashboards, aggregating large data sets into actionable items. Collaborates with GTO team member and Tax Performance Engineering to develop recommendations and implement process improvements. Overall responsibilities include ensuring that input, output and project management are conducted to BDO's quality standards while conducting tax administration for overseas tax compliance; interacting with BDO International member firms; managing the GTO tools; managing request for proposal (RFP) responses; marketing; general administration; and ensuring that the Global Tax Outsourcing processes are followed in compliance with firm policies and procedures.

    Job Duties:

    • Manages Global Portal data
    • Leads implementing process improvements and efficiencies
    • Reviews and analyzes data to improve Global Tax Outsourcing (GTO) Process, including but not limited to dashboards, aggregating large data sets into actionable items and producing reports
    • Provides project management support, including management reporting and compliance for a number of overseas entities
    • Works with managers to ensure timely and smooth new client transitions and set up of new entities
    • Dealing with multiple deadlines, and prioritization of tasks to ensure client deadlines are met
    • Liaison with BDO Global offices and other BDO service line streams on process improvement or cross serving opportunities, as necessary
    • Liaison with clients on a regular basis, dealing with more complex issues which may arise
    • Ensures all clients’ needs are met in regard to answering queries promptly, building a rapport with the client and anticipating requirements
    • Provides clients with value-adding recommendations for improvements in processes and controls
    • Maintains awareness of risk and deliver high quality documents
    • Becomes involved in non-client projects/ad-hoc pieces of work to raise profile within the team
    • Flexibility to deal with changing situations and reporting deadlines
    • Participates in sales and marketing activities
    • Provides support with billing/collection for Global Tax Outsourcing
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Education:

    • Bachelor degree required; focus in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Economics, or Finance, preferred

    Experience:

    • One (1) or more years related work experience, required
    • Experience in a professional services firm or working for an outsourcing services provider, preferred
    • Experience supporting international operations and US clients, preferred

    License/Certifications:

    • N/A

    Software:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred
    • Knowledge of SharePoint and/or Smartsheet, preferred
    • Knowledge of accounting software, preferred

    Language:

    • Proficiency in more than one language, preferred

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate with diverse personalities at all organizational levels of the firm in a tactful and mature manner

    Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

    California Range: $65,000 - $110,000
    New York City/ Valhalla Range: $76,000 - $110,000
    Washington Range: $65,000 - $110,000
