Job Summary:
The National Tax Technology Intern supports BDO’s digital transformation efforts to optimize internal tax processes, tools and technologies. This role is part of the National Tax Office (NTO Operations) team that encompasses Tax Process, Tax Technology, Tax Education, Tax Integration and Tax Administration. This position collaborates with the aforementioned teams to help drive and enhance firm-wide tax process standardization and effective use of technology tools to support the tax practice.
Job Duties:
- Supports NTO Operations digital transformation efforts
- Drafts content for internal communication purposes related to our tax vision
- Collaborates with the teams in NTO Operations to assist with tax process improvements and training related to tax process and technology best practices
- Supports the NTO Senior Manager, Operations to maintain and report on the status of multiple transformation projects currently in flight
- Supports NTO Tax Transformation Managers through execution of project plans and specific project tasks
- Supports logistics and planning for team working sessions
- Supports Tax Transformation Communications Manager to create high quality and high impact communications that will engage our partners and people and enhance the change process
- Assists with executive-level reporting including identifying topics, gathering project content, reviewing with leadership, and incorporating feedback
- Assists with the implementation of a local office Tax Transformation Team across 60+ offices
- Maintains MS Teams sites and SharePoint site to ensure proper documentation
- Other projects, assignments and duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business or other related field, required
Experience:
- Work experience, preferred
- Leadership experienced, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
Software:
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required

- Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Self-managed individual who can complete tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision

- Experience with common data science programming language
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to the production of a high-quality work product

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
California Range: $31.00/hr - $39.00/hr
New York City/ Valhalla Range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr
Washington Range: $31.00/hr - $39.00/hr
