Help us set the bar high across our entire organization so we can keep exceeding customer expectations. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of aviation repair and maintenance through training and preparation.

As a Quality Analyst , you’ll assess and support quality system needs and objectives by monitoring quality metrics, performing quality investigations, evaluating compliance to product, process and regulatory requirements, leading corrective/preventive actions and reporting on quality initiatives.

What you’ll do :

• Monitors assigned projects for work in progress to ensure that quality and regulatory standards are met and that project designs are effective through the entire process; approves changes to designs or schedules as necessary. Produces periodic project status reports comparing actual to forecasted timelines.
• Monitors and improves business metrics such as Cost of Poor Quality, First time Yield, etc. through collaboration with the production and engineering teams. Delivers tangible results including reduction of in-process rework, reduction of damaged parts and customer returns/warranties.
• Responsible for Root Cause and Corrective Action planning and implementation alongside production and engineering teams. Utilizes tools such as 5-Why analysis, fishbone diagrams, human factor analysis, etc. to develop lasting and meaningful preventive actions.
• Completes customer supplier surveys, coordinates with Customer Account leaders to assist in completing customer requests pertaining to the Quality Management System.
• Assists labor and development in quality-related training plans, curriculum and evaluation methods.
• Prepares amendments to policies and procedures pertaining to quality systems criteria within the organization.
• Provides technical advice with respect to quality systems criteria, airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
• Coordinates the review, amendment, approval and re-issue procedure of all company instructions.
• Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
• Carries out special projects as assigned.

What skills you will use:

• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements, analytical tools and problem solving methodology.
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to maintenance and certification for products processed by the organization. Familiarity should include some or all of the following: ISO 9001, AS9110,FAA, CAA UK, EASA, CAAC, NADCAP, or CASE
• Strong project and time management, planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, quality, and original equipment manufacturer manuals.
• Thorough knowledge of production/inspection process and systems.
• Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
• Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
• Preferred certificate(s) in Quality Assurance Management, AS9110 and/or ISO 9000/9001 Auditing, or equivalent.

Background Information

The typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to high school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school. The person requires an ability to understand, utilize and communicate specialized information in speech and written text. This specialized training is often formalized and recognized by a specific certificate, diploma or license.

Direct/indirect related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is six to ten years.

Ongoing work assignments typically have clearly defined goals, but no (or minimal) direction with respect to what action steps to follow. The incumbent's education, training, and previous experience will help ensure that the goal of the assignment can be clearly defined and understood (even if that means just knowing what relevant questions to ask), but the required/optional approaches to achieving the goal will often remain unclear, undefined and/or untested until the work assignment is well underway
