    The Boeing Research and Technology Product Standards Office team is seeking an Entry-Level Engineering Technical Specialist to join the team in Hazelwood , MO.

    This position will require technical collaboration with the Boeing Engineering community, representatives from other Boeing functions, and the external standards community for the development and configuration management of data related to Boeing Product Standards and external Government and Industry Standards. It will also require effective communication and computing tool use for the management of this data. The associated statement of work for this position has enterprise wide impact.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Provides basic assistance to support the development, documentation, implementation and basic consultation on Product Standards and Product Standards as digital data

    • Assists in the application of engineering tools and processes for delivery of Product Standards and Product Standards data

    • Assists with the process for integration of Product Standards data in engineering designs

    • Assists with the development and implementation of standards at an enterprise level for the entire product life cycle

    • Assists in the control and process oversight for the utilization of Government & Industry Standards in support of Boeing programs at an enterprise level

    • Assists in the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity

    • Collects engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs. Works under close supervision

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Please note-the candidate selected for this position can anticipate reporting onsite 2-3 days of their scheduled work week.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent combination of education and experience

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Experience with Configuration Management tools and processes

    • Experience in Extensible Markup Language (XML) coding

    • Experience in Technical Writing

    • Active DoD Secret Clearance

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).
