Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Software Test Engineer to join the Mission Systems and Flight Controls Software Engineering team located in Ridley Park, PA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.
We work on multiple Boeing programs, including V-22, H-47, Enterprise DevSecOps, Space and Launch Systems, and many more. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Position Responsibilities:
• Developing test algorithms and strategies, and performing testing to verify requirements for software system
• Developing software verification plans, test procedures, test environments, running tests and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
• Responsible for designing and developing quality products, have strong communication skills, and are capable of working in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple projects concurrently
• Assists with the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
• Contributes to partnering with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability.
• Participates in the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications.
• Assists with the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.
• Assists with executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes.
• Contributes to providing test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities.
• Support maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
• Assist with software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Ridley Park site. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
• Experience with full life-cycle Software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, Python, Ada, or Linux
• Experience with software integration and end to end testing methodologies
• Experience working on aircraft systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Experience and knowledge of the software engineering lifecycles and application of relevant methodologies and toolsets, including requirements software engineering lifecycles and application of relevant methodologies
• Experience working in Agile software development framework
• Familiar with DOORS
• Familiar with DO-178C requirements
• Familiar working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology using MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429 standards
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Travel: Possible, less than 10%.

Summary Pay Range: $74,800 - $101,200
