The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain & Logistics Management Specialist(Level 1) to join our dynamic team in Warner Robins, Georgia.
As a Supply Chain & Logistics Management Specialist, you will be working in a hybrid role. If selected, you will be working directly within a team managing high value AOG (Aircraft on the Ground) MICAP shipments for our USAF Customer. The successful candidate will support and develop processes, strategies and disciplines related to transportation & logistics services. The candidate will also work on initiation, processing, and after-action requirements of AOG MICAP orders. This is a dual hybrid role, and the qualified candidate will support the C17 AOG MICAP Teams transportation risk mitigation activities as well as being a team member managing AOG MICAP customer orders. You will be required, daily to provide oversight of service provider performance and adherence to their contracted obligations. Candidate will have responsibility to build collaborative business relationships with functional stakeholders, service providers, and key business partners. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Warner Robins, GA.
Responsibilities:
Supports and facilitates a variety of internal process reviews and support services including, transportation service provider performance evaluations and related activities for AOG MICAP team.
Responds to postproduction customer supply inquiries and coordinates delivery problem resolution for AOG MICAP team.
Facilitates solutions to various complications that may arise within the Supply Chain & Global Distribution of aircraft parts and components
Investigates and performs root cause analysis on complex logistics initiatives and recommends business solutions relating to transportation and logistics practices, processes, and procedures.
Performs all activities of order processing, data logging, order tracking, and finalization (closing) of customer requirements as part of the AOG MICAP team.
Develops logistics reports and presentations for business units, programs, and stakeholders.
Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution actions for AOG MICAP team.
Analyzes carrier performance data for cycle time, cost, and business process review.
Develops and implements effective KPI’s to achieve organizational objectives and targets.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Proficient in use of data analytics tools, methods, and processes.
Experience in using ERP/MRP supply chain related applications, as well as supply chain databases.
Industry knowledge of transportation & logistics modes and service levels to include Import/Export requirements, Dangerous Goods regulations, Customs Standards etc.
Skilled in determining the type, mode and means carriers will use during the logistic/transportation cycle, example: ground vs air, flatbed vs covered trailer etc.
Competent with MS Office Suite tools and other office productivity tools such as MS Teams, WebEx, SharePoint etc.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Past experience relative to Transportation, Supply Chain Operation & Logistics industry is a plus
Industry experience in freight logistics, modes and service levels
Skilled in supply chain risk management mitigation methods, tools and applications is a plus
