    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry Level USAF E-7A Mission Computing Hardware Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA. Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for Mission Computing Hardware Engineers. The Mission Systems Team is responsible for design, procurement and integration of the full Mission Systems capability onboard the E-7A.

    The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships. The E-7A program is an important program for Boeing with significant growth potential.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements.

    • Develops or modifies basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements.

    • Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.

    • Assists in monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements.

    • Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.

    • Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry by June 2023

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

    • Have you held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months 25 POINTS

    • Experience with computer hardware and architecture

    • Knowledge of high performance computing infrastructure & networking

    TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    RELOCATION:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
