    JOB DESCRIPTION

    StandardAero Houston is a premier Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Learjet, and Embraer. In addition to comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, performing overhauls on TFE731 and CFE738 engines.     As a Licensed A &P Mechanic, specializing on Dassault Falcon aircraft, you will be responsible for performing routine and heavy maintenance as well as major inspections on Falcon corporate aircraft. Your technical skills will be critical in troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying various aircraft components, ensuring safety and performance. Our teams specialize across Textron (Hawker), Embraer (Legacy / Praetor), Bombardier (Learjet), Dassault Falcon (2000/900/7X).

    What You Will Do:

    • Inspect aircraft per OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals.
    • Remove and install wheels, brakes, flight controls and riggings
    • Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
    • Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems including hydraulics, landing gear, and more.
    • Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
    • Analyze mechanical problems to determine the best repair methods.
    • Test, repair, and adjust engines, engine controls, and flight controls.
    • Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.
    • Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
    • Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan aircraft.
    • Conduct operational checks and engine runs to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
    • Make informed decisions on maintenance techniques and troubleshooting.
    • Availability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
    • Previous experience supporting Falcon 50, 900, 2000, and/or 7X aircraft
    • Minimum 2 years working in Corporate/ Business Aviation
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Must be willing to submit to background and drug screen requirements to meet StandardAero and IAH standards.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of Dassault Falcon maintenance experience
    • Minimum 3 years working as a Licensed A&P Mechanic
    • Aviation training (Military, Aeronautical Academy, Technical School, and/or an Aviation Associate’s Degree).
    • Factory-authorized training on Dassault Falcon aircraft.
