    JOB DESCRIPTION

    StandardAero Houston is a premier business aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility specializing in the service of mid-sized corporate jets. We support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Learjet, Gulfstream, and Embraer. In addition to comprehensive airframe services, the facility features a state-of-the-art engine shop and test cell, performing overhauls on TFE731 and CFE738 engines. As an Aircraft Mechanic , you'll work in our MRO facility servicing corporate aircrafts from all over the world. Our expanding facility and growing workforce will utilize your industry knowledge and technical expertise to continue to raise the standard in Business Aviation!

    What to expect in this role:

    • Utilize your sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.
    • Inspect aircraft parts upon removal, taking measurements to match upon re-assembly.
    • Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
    • Documents all work accomplished (a.k.a. sign-off) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
    • Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directive as required.
    • Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
    • Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting, and continuously improving company policies and procedures.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must have completed a formal Aviation Maintenance Technician program.
    • Must be able to attain an FAA Airframe & Powerplant License within the first 6 months of employment
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
