Test & Evaluation Instrumentation Engineer (Entry Level, Associate, or Mid-Level)
JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Boeing Company is seeking a Test & Evaluation Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an exciting opportunity of hands-on instrumentation and data acquisition engineering supporting Boeing’s strategic bomber, surveillance, and tanker aircraft programs.
The ideal candidate should work well under pressure, have excellent communication skills, leadership, interpersonal, organizational skills, and be detail oriented.
20% Domestic and International travel is required to support program objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs Test Instrumentation Systems and Software Architecture to achieve test requirements
Identifies required products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes / technologies to achieve a successful test
Designs, develops, and documents instrumentation systems
Generates electrical and mechanical schematics using commercial drawing tools and other common design software
Coordinates, on aircraft or in lab, system design, fabrication, integration, modification, setup, checkout, and teardown
Interprets test requirements and determines test instrumentation methodology
Integrates test hardware, software, and systems to fulfill all test requirements
Troubleshoots and resolves instrumentation system, transducer, and test-related problems
Analyzes, reviews, and validates test data to ensure test instrumentation hardware readiness
Conducts research in test instrumentation technologies to improve test efficiency and capability
Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutions
Performs functions as required to ensure instrumentation system readiness and data validity
Self-starter that works under various levels of supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher Engineering Degree
Experience planning and executing instrumentation activities for test programs
Experience with data acquisition system attributes (e.g. range, accuracy, frequency responses, accuracy) to define characteristics of measurements to be recorded
Experience planning and executing instrumentation activities for test programs
Experience directly supporting flight/lab test operations
Experience with precision test, measurement devices, and sensor selection
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
ENTRY-LEVEL (LEVEL 1) - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
ASSOCIATE (LEVEL 2) - Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
MID-LEVEL (LEVEL 3) - Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for entry-level: $60,350-$81,650
Summary pay range for associate level: $70,550-$95,450
Summary pay range mid-level: $85,000-$115,000
