Job Title: CAD Drafter
Location: Fort Myers – Development
Job Summary: Assists engineering staff in the Development Market group in application of principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology.
Essential Duties:
- Develop plan drawings using the latest version AutoCAD Civil3D software under the direction of professional staff.
- Make revisions and obtain approval from the project manager(s).
- Assist professional staff in the preparation of quantities and measurements within drawings.
- Maintain a database of drawings.
- Prepare supporting documentation.
- Distribute drawings to internal project managers.
- Requires effective communication with fellow team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited vocation/technical school in AutoCAD.
- Must have 5-10 years of experience in Development.
- Proficient in all Civil Engineering related aspects of AutoCAD Civil3D including but not limited to:
- Surface Creation and Design
- 3D Pipe Networks
- 3D Plan & Profile Drawings
- Alignments and Corridors
- Experience in design aspects of Civil Engineering Site Development such as grading, underground utilities, and site planning preferred.
- Deadline-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
- Must be able to sit or stand at a computer monitor for long periods of time and be able to distinguish shapes and colors.
- Excellent driving record and a valid Florida driver's license is required.
