  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties

    • Responsible for administering assigned portions of the organizations budget for one or more funds; i.e., Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA); Research Development Test and Evaluation; Other Procurement, Army (OPA).
    • Identifies and analyzes spending trends, obligations, expenditures and reimbursements.
    • Certifies, monitors, and tracks all commitments and obligations for assigned accounts.
    • Knowledge and experience with the following systems, e.g., Resource Management Tool, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Operational Data Store, On-line Report View, Electronic Document Access, and Defense Travel System.

This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GG-12: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by applying financial policies, procedures, and regulations to execute appropriated funds; knowledge and experience using automated standard financial management systems; preparing reports using software such as Microsoft Excel, and Power Point detailing the status of funds, expenses, obligations, and reimbursements; experience with the Automated travel programs (i.e. Defense Travel System and Government Travel Card Program). GG-11: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by preparing and presenting multiple budget and financial management reports of serviced activities; assisting in the budget execution process for the assigned budget team; coordinating and answering requests for data pertaining to budget reports and presentations. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
