Engineering Intern

Your Role

The Engineering Intern will operate in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment which requires flexibility, adaptability, initiative as well as excellent organization and problem-solving skills. This position will be located in Troy, MI.

Key job responsibilities for this role include:

• Support proliferation of core infrastructure systems used for the design / development of electrified products and electrical system solutions for North American OEM’s
• Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and delivery high quality KPI’s metrics that helps in decision making of product.
• Coordinate design and design change activities for various electrified vehicle customers
• Exploit Aptiv product differentiators that provides a competitive advantage (technology, cost, quality, services)
• Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost, quality improvement or design robustness
• Work with Aptiv sales and Business Lines to ensure business objectives are met
• Create and deliver technically strong customer presentations
• Support, and work closely, with Aptiv Electrification teams in other regions
• Available to monitor and participate in harness and customer launch activities

Experience & Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Junior standing Electrical or Mechanical
• 1+ years' experience in a team environment
• Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills - written and verbal
• Multi-tasking team player with a hands-on approach

Nice to have:

• Strong understanding of RCL circuits
• Exposure to manufacturing environment
• CAD experience
• Software development skills in Python, Java, Web Development, C++.
• Power BI data visualization
