Work Arrangement
Hybrid: Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time, but the general expectation is that the employee be on-site an average of three (3) days each week.

What You’ll Do
We have the following position available to start your career with GM as early as January 2024:
Our Cybersecurity Analysts are responsible for protecting devices, networks, and data from cyber threats and attacks. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, your goal is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and systems.
A coding challenge will be required during the application process, should you be selected to move forward.
Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or an educational equivalent
Must be graduating between January 2022 and June 2024
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week
Able to relocate to Austin, Texas or Warren, Michigan
Willing to work on call if needed
What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Strong understanding of information security concepts, principles, and best practices.
Ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing the business to move quickly.
Basic programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL) to automate security tasks and analyze data.
Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and security measures (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
Familiarity with cloud computing security concepts and practices.
Understanding of common cybersecurity threats and attack vectors (e.g., malware, phishing, DDoS).
Experience using security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, ISPS, and vulnerability scanners.
Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them to others.
Awareness of web application security and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS Benchmarks) and their implementation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and remediate security incidents and anomalies.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other team members and explain security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to identify and make recommendations on process improvements.
Ability to keep up with the evolving threat landscape and learn new security technologies.
The salary range for this role is $84,500 - $120,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
