    The AI/ML SOFTWARE DEVELOPER isresponsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry best practices and in accordance with GM's software development project methodology. Under the mentorship of more senior developers, will work hands-on writing software or solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications. Development activities will include updating existing software and/or developing new software solutions to address a specific need or seek a particular business problem. This role will contribute to all development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process. This role will also work closely with more senior developers to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks.

    DEVELOPERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

    • Code, unit test (automated), and debug applications/solutions in one or more software languages at a basic skill level, with a focus on software quality and maintainability
    • Demonstrate masterly of at least one programming language, tool and/or technology
    • Assist with Application improvements
    • Aggressively engage in the identification/remediation of software issues related to code quality, security and performance
    • Integrate software with existing software/systems
    • Have knowledge of software testing
    • Have knowledge of software debugging
    • Work closely with more experienced IT professionals to gain additional Knowledge and expertise
    • Document software solutions and ensure that technical documentation meets GM standards
    • Assist with maintaining GM standards compliance
    • Hold themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and builds a winning culture
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or STEM program
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above (2.8 preferred)
    • Must have graduated between January 2020 and June 2021
    • Knowledge or experience with 3D creation tools for example: Unreal Engine, Unity3D, Blender, Substance Designer, etc
    • These roles may require you to work second or third shifts or be ready on call if needed.
