    LOSS OPTIMIZATION STRATEGY LEAD, AVP

    As a Barclays Loss Optimization Strategy Lead, you will document and follow the lifecycle of fraud expense across all elements of the fraud process. You will have the opportunity to be focused on identifying expense leakage within our processes, formulating recommendations on enhancements and changes, partnering with owners to implement changes leading to reduced leakage.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    • Partnering with constituents across TC13 to document and track fraud loss from event to booking

    • Prioritizing and organizing offshore resources ensuring alignment with business strategies and operational needs 

    • Identifying processing gaps, delays, and decision errors within the fraud process

    • Identification of data driven fraud trends and development of broad strategies to address the trend

    • Conducting defect reviews of high fraud losses cases to identify any gaps in Fraud strategy, case management, or make procedural adjustments

    • Escalating identified risks which may result in unacceptable fraud controls and losses

    • Providing support, including analysis, to various Strategic Fraud initiatives outlined by the business and Fraud Strategy leadership

    • Supporting stakeholder requests for deep dive analysis for strategy optimization, including cost saving and customer experience opportunities

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline like Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research etc. or work experience equivalent

    • Strong analytical skills, technical skills in SAS/SQL with proven ability to process a large amount of data into meaningful information

    • Superior verbal and written communication abilities

    • Demonstrated sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to set and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

    SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

    • Ability to think independently and question proposed plans.

    • Proven background in driving change with experience driving process improvements, business transformation, or root cause analysis    

    • Data abstraction knowledge spanning multiple technologies (SQL, Python, R, SAS, etc.) with proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information

    • Ability to facilitate discussions/meetings to drive out deliverables for programs and projects
