    US MACRO & SECURITIZED PRODUCTS CLIENT STRATEGY – VICE PRESIDENT

    As a Barclays US Macro & Securitized Products Client Strategy – VP, you will be responsible for strategy, budgeting, cost control, change management, regulatory reform and front office technology. You will work closely with the desk heads within Macro and Sec Products as well as with country heads and country COOs and Client Strategy leads from other businesses. This role involves constant contact with the business and infrastructure areas and often acts as a link between them.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE  DOING?

    •     Driving, influencing, and implementing Target Operating Model, proposition, business development, and financial and non-financial resource allocation

    •     Providing tactical and strategic analysis to influence and inform short and long-term business decision-making partner with the business regarding the management of key initiatives 

    •     Proactively identifing areas for continuous improvement, including creation of efficiencies and strategic value-adds

    •     Working independently with limited oversight, keeping stakeholders informed and escalating any issues as required

    •     Managing the day-to-day of the business

    •     Coordinating and participating in governance and management forums

    •     Partnering with the business regarding the management of key initiatives in regard to change projects as well as BAU activities

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

    •     An undergraduate degree from a tier one university

    •     Minimum five years’ experience in finance or other applicable industry/role/experience including experience in Business Management/Client Strategy or related role

    •     Ability to demonstrate leadership, credibility and gravitas 

    •     Ability to work independently

     

    SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

    •     Exceptional communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums

    •     Proven ability to distil information into key messages and deliver succinctly according to audience and ensure stakeholders are informed and escalate issues as required

    •     Ability to drive development and change programs with a focus on project execution enabling business leaders to delegate project responsibility

    •     Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels and geographies of the organization

    WHERE WILL YOU BE WORKING?

    You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
