FX SETTLEMENTS ANALYST

As a Barclays FX Settlements Analyst this is an exciting opportunity where you will be ensuring all asset classes of OTC Derivatives, namely Interest Rate, Credit, Equity, Foreign Exchange, and commodities are settled in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Departmental functions include Pre matching, payment and settlement including CLS Settlements, post settlement break resolution in addition to specialist product and process support functions.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally can request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

•     Serving as primary contact for Foreign Exchange (FX) settlements

•     Onboarding and setting up new clients and tailor settlement methods to fit their requirements

•     Coordinating post-trade activity for Merger and Acquisition deals and ensure smooth settlement

•     Monitoring and supporting exception queues for FX, Money Market and NDF trade flows and ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner

•     Providing advice and resolving settlement issues for internal and external clients

•     Managing and maintaining internal controls aligned with compliance and regulatory requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

•     Experience in both FX Cash and Non-Deliverable Forwards products

•     Ability to exercise sound judgement on critical issues  

•     Significant Experience of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment

•     Knowledge of reconciliations and break management

•     Proven track record in working in an FX settlements group

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

•     Significant Experience managing FX & NDF with Institutional External Counterparties preferred

•     Experience working with Barclays Internal Settlement platforms    

•     Understanding with Inbound and Outbound migrations and/ or platform renovation

•     Excellent experience with process re-engineering and leading efficiency/process innovation initiatives
