DATA ANALYTICS & INSIGHTS ANALYST

As a Barclays Data Analytics & Insights Analyst, you will interact with peers and managers across the organization to support US Consumer Bank Operations. Providing robust reporting, analytics and insights, you will play a crucial role in Barclays’ ability to move, lend, invest and protect money for customers worldwide. In this visible role, you will coordinate with key stakeholders to understand business needs, propose alternative approaches, seek out automated technologies, and act as a key driver to improving outputs.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Utilizing key analytical tools and processes to drive operational efficiency, cost efficiency and improved customer experience
• Explore opportunities to automate virtual channels, banking operations, fraud, collections and operational procedures to support customer demand and service quality
• Helping define business cases when implementing new technologies or processes
• Executing on key automation opportunities to deliver insight into the hands of our external and internal stakeholders quickly
• Assessing and communicating risks to Departmental Leadership to ensure that project goals and objectives are being met
• Helping define visualization standards for presentations and dashboards
• Sharing insights with senior managers across the business with excellent presentation skills
• Coordinating with key stakeholders to understand business need, be curious about alternative approaches to improve request/output while delivering impactful outputs

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Sciences, Finance, Economics or other quantitatively focused subject 
• Programming experience working in a complex data environment

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• Master’s Degree preferred in Analytics or Data Science (or similar degree)
• Tableau (or similar) expertise preferred
• Experience with AWS-based data services:  RedShift, Athena (or similar experience)
• Solid SAS, R, SQL or Python experience and working with a complex data infrastructure
