Engineer Acquisitions and Divestitures

As a Barclays Engineer Acquisitions and Divestitures (A&D), you will provide support to all aspects of the engineering and database management efforts of the Natural Resources Investment Banking platform in support of mergers and acquisitions of companies, acquisitions and divestitures of assets, and capital insurances in the debt and equity markets. You will also be responsible for collaborating with engineers on projects to utilize petroleum economic databases and study production trend / declines.

What will you be doing?
• Providing support with technical analysis associated with oil and gas transactions
• Performing engineering tasks such as Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) and field development planning, including type curve generation, inventory analysis and creating drill schedules
• Consuming information related to Operations, Lease Operating Statement, Land and Midstream related topics as it pertains to asset development
• Translating reservoir simulation, PVT, and pressure/rate transient analysis (PTA / RTA) models/reports to marketing materials
• Being responsible for performing petroleum economics analysis in ARIES, PHDWin and / or Excel model
• Evaluating large amount of data using data analytics tools such as Spotfire and Tableau to establish relevant trends
• Studying publicly available data to define well performance trends and operator performance comparison
• Being responsible for preparing and presenting technical material to clients on frequent basis
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Petroleum engineering
• Minimum five plus years of related experience in Reservoir Engineering
• Prior experience in performing Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) and field development planning, including type curve generation, inventory analysis and creating drill schedules
• Working knowledge and understanding of Operations and Geoscience disciplines
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Prior work experience in A&D team at E&P company or investment bank with exposure to VDR and conducting buy-side and sell-side due diligence
