What will you be doing?

Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Equity Research Analyst in New York, NY (multiple positions available)

• Analyze the financial and operational performance of industry groups or individual companies and conduct proprietary investment research and fundamental financial analysis
• Develop financial models to project the future performance of companies under coverage. Perform company valuation based on company financials. Examine financial reports, organize data, and collect materials to present and summarize investment ideas
• Build financial model to forecast sales of key products under different assumptions
• Write research reports for initiations of coverage, analysis of financial data, and industry/company news
• Delve into intellectual properties, the patent law, and litigations related to biotech and pharmaceuticals
• Conceive and execute differentiated project ideas. Interface with company management teams, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors
• Write research reports based on fundamental financial analysis, evaluation of company earnings release, and guidance
• May telecommute

What we’re looking for:

• Employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
• Alternately, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $170,000
