As a Barclays Equity Research Analyst, you will have the opportunity to analyze industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of the Brokers, Asset Managers, & Exchanges Senior analyst. You will have the opportunity to research, analyze and forecast the impact of financial trends as well as varying corporate strategies. Global Equity Research provides the financial strategic advice necessary for successful asset management.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Building and maintaining financial models and industry databases for evaluating companies and market segments
Reviewing business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings and other sources in order to gather, synthesize and interpret data on companies followed by team
Preparing research reports varying in size and scope from quick briefs on earnings results or strategic events to more in-depth, original thought pieces on a range of topics
Writing research reports as and when required
Communicating recommendations to sales, trading, management teams, institutional investor clients and other important stakeholders
Developing marketing materials for clients and attend industry conferences where appropriate
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree (no specific area) and two plus years of experience in investment research or investment banking
Two plus years of experience in business modeling, financial statement analysis, and working with large data sets is required
Two plus years of experience in written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional interest in the subject matter and knowledge of covered companies is preferred
SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
FINRA registrations: SIE, Series 63, Series 86, Series 87
Analytical and problem solving skills and a resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit with proven leadership qualities
Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment with an ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
