    This is an SEC and FINRA regulated role.

    As Barclays Equity Structuring Associate, you will get an opportunity to join the Structuring team that sits within the Global Markets Division. In your role, you will partner closely with Sales and Trading to deliver innovative client solutions. You will also learn about development and execution of structured derivative solutions linked to equities, funds and hybrid underlying, as well as cross-asset quantitative investment strategies. Lastly, in your role, you will become skilled in complex fund financing and client negotiation.

    Salary / Rate Minimum: $125,000.00
    Salary / Rate Maximum: $170,000.00

    What will you be doing?

    • Strengthening knowledge of the risk associated with structured products by running stress tests in both backward-looking and forward-looking simulations
    • Applying programming skills to develop quantitative investment strategies in internal and external programming languages as well as Excel
    • Developing marketing presentations and related materials
    • Coordinating between sales and trading team and price structured products
    • Generating and proposing new trade ideas and recommend structured products
    • Adding to your financial skills by running backtests and analyzing the risk/return relationship behind quantitative investment strategies
    • Optimizing parameters for quantitative investment strategies and test the sensitivities of the parameters
    • Utilizing skills such as stochastic calculus, computational methods, risk engineering and modelling techniques, database management, and pricing and hedging skills

    What we’re looking for:

    • Master’s degree in financial engineering and up to 2 years of experience
    • Knowledge of mathematical techniques and models, engineering and development tools, databases, and technologies such as Windows, Excel, VBA, Python
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Financial Engineering skills such as stochastic calculus, computational methods, risk engineering and modelling techniques, db management, and pricing and hedging skills

    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Broad knowledge of financial engineering concepts
    • Computational methods for financial applications
    • Knowledge of structured products
    • Exposure to quantitative investment strategies

    Where will you be working?

    You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
