ANALYST – INSURANCE, FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

As a Barclays Analyst – Insurance, Financial Institutions, you will join us to become part of our Insurance Team where you will be responsible for engaging in delivering Barclays Corporate Banking platform to our clients: specifically, transaction banking and liquidity solutions, FX, trade and debt finance solutions, and work with our investment banking colleagues across the broader product suite. You will assist in developing credit analysis and business modelling, industry research, and coordination of internal and external processes.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Supporting the production and updating of business plans for key accounts – including ongoing research about client activity, business performance and market updates

• Drafting client proposals, transaction summaries, due diligence summaries, credit approval reports and other documents as part of the transaction approval process

• Engaging with business partners and other members of the client team, as necessary, to facilitate various aspects of the transaction management process

• Assisting the Relationship Directors with product knowledge, sales research, customer relationship development, and research into solutions to meet customers’ needs 

• Working with Relationship Directors to develop a portfolio of business through increasing wallet share and winning new business in line with the Firm’s credit and reputational risk

• Participating in client due diligence exercises

• Maintaining transaction pricing, return and credit files

• Supporting the team with ad-hoc internal projects

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• BA/BS Degree 

• Excellent oral and written communication and reasoning skills

• Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• Prior experience in a customer-facing / problem solving role, preferably with large multinational clients

• Working understanding and prior experience with financial modeling, credit and financial analysis
