FULL STACK DEVELOPER

As a Barclays Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture and high-volume web applications using Java 1.8/JEE Framework. You will have a hands-on development of enterprise web applications leveraging Java J2EE, JavaScript (Angular, React JS), RESTful Web Services, JMS, SOA, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate, JDBC, WebLogic, and Oracle PL/SQL.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Developing high-volume web applications using Java 1.8 / JEE Framework

• Developing of enterprise web applications leveraging Java J2EE, JavaScript (Angular, React JS), RESTful Web Services, and the like

• Gaining an understanding of architecture and design across all systems

• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement

• Researching new technologies, identifying & learning best practices, providing technical guidance to team members, presenting and demoing to users, stakeholders

• Working in OOP, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, RESTful, SOAP, JMS, JDBC, WebLogic, Tomcat, and Oracle

• Designing, developing and coding scripts for automation testing, experience developing scripts using Selenium and Java, and RDBMS

• Managing and tracking work using management tools like JIRA and following and promoting Agile practices like SCRUM and BDD

WHAT WE’RE  LOOKING FOR:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent 

• Experience and/or experience in banking industry for at least 5 years with passion for software engineering and new technologies

• Experience in developing high performing distributed web applications and Well versed with Cloud technologies like AWS, Docker, Openshift, etc.

• Hands-on experience with React JS/Angular JS/Ember JS, etc. JavaScript frameworks a plus and experience with Cucumber is preferred

• Good understanding and proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java

• Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with an ardent work ethic

• Software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software
