PRODUCT CONTROL ANALYST

As a Barclays Product Control Analyst, you will become part of our team to ensure the accuracy of downstream processes, including accounting and control responsibilities. You will report on new deal activity and its impact on the P&L and Bank’s risk profile, while assisting front office with representing complex deals in the P&L/ Risk reporting systems and reviewing for accuracy. Apart from that, you will also be supporting ongoing and daily operations, processing all aspects of the derivatives trade lifecycle.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Interacting with Trading, Technology, Operations and Finance colleagues to formalize P&L in a timely, controlled fashion

• Providing quality P&L commentary that explains the revenue drivers of the desk, supported by front-to-back data 

• Learning and understanding the balance sheet accounting for an equity derivatives business

• Completing month-end close in order to ensure accuracy of Firm’s Books & Records

• Being a central point of contact on all control related issues with respect to revenue reporting and Finance controls

• Participating in the US Equity Roadmap infrastructure or regulatory projects that involve Finance

• Collaborating in team setting, particularly across functions

WHAT WE’ RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantitative, or equivalent majors

• Knowledge of Product Control

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:

• Knowledge or experience of equities (Greeks)

• A proven team leader and an excellent communicator with a proactive attitude

• SAP, Essbase, FP&A experience
