SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST (SDET)

As a Barclays’ SDET, you will be responsible for coordinating with all teams across the entire Digital USCB Flows. You will be validating the functionality from the customer view from account origination, fulfilment and servicing to regulatory and compliance aspects and also emphasis on the customer experience-based journeys. You will be extending and complementing the functional testing performed by application scrum teams. You will be responsible to create the CI/CD templates and framework that will be integrated to the application pipelines.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

•    Designing testing strategies, customize testing, design modern testing frameworks and models, acting as advocate for test coverage, quality engineering practices and automation

•      Participating in test strategy formulation with developers, including decomposition of business and technical requirements into test case scenarios

•     Defining test data requirements and advice regarding test case creation, contingency plans, and other preparation activities

•     Driving exploratory testing and test automation covering key practice areas including Native Mobile Apps, web, and API testing

•     Creating, shaping, and monitoring test plans for scalability, security, functionality, and usability for successful code deployment and work within large collaborative 

•     Conducting analyses to determine software integration needs and analyse, test, and assist with integration of new application

•     Collaborating with Quality Assurance team and project stakeholders to assess specifications and technical requirements and identify products and technical requirements

•     Researching, writing, and editing documentation and technical requirements, including software design, evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

•     Expert knowledge of Java, JavaScript, XCUITest, and Expresso to execute automation scripts and working knowledge of Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Unix 

•     Practical experience in analysing the issue and document the steps and develop the QE Framework from scratch for automation

•     Experience in Agile, SQL and Oracle DB

•     Excellent problem solving , scheduling and prioritizing skills, self-motivated and progressively thinking outside the box is pivotal to this position

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP  YOU IN THE ROLE:

-    Experience in Java, JavaScript, XCUITest, Expresso, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, SQL, Unix and Cypress to develop and run automation scripts
