    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring top-notch regulatory, safety, and compliance standards are met.

    • Inspire and manage a high-performance team of laboratory professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures that improve workflow, operational efficiency, and service quality, while boosting team morale.

    • Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient lab testing and results reporting, directly impacting the quality of patient care.

    • Collaborate with hospital leadership to align laboratory services with hospital-wide goals and initiatives, driving both quality and patient care outcomes.

    • Manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective decision-making without sacrificing quality.

    • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, equipment providers, and regulatory agencies, ensuring smooth operations.

    • Lead recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations, developing the next generation of laboratory professionals.

    • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in laboratory science, ensuring that the department stays at the cutting edge of healthcare advancements.

    What You Bring to the Table:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).

    • ASCP certification (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a laboratory setting.

    • In-depth knowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP).

    • Proven success in leading, mentoring, and developing diverse teams, and the ability to inspire a culture of high performance.

    • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong understanding of budget management and making cost-effective decisions that benefit both the lab and hospital.
