Careers R&D Intern Scientific/R&D Salt Lake City, Utah Description A scientific group responsible for conducting analytical studies used to generate data for submissions to the FDA for molecular diagnostic devices is seeking a laboratory intern. Responsibilities include maintenance of inventory and laboratory supplies, participation in general laboratory activities such as cleaning and decontamination procedures and day-to-day laboratory logistics. Intern will assist with testing of contrived samples with an emphasis in molecular and microbiology techniques, collect and analyze data, organize and maintain study records, and perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics Quality System. Qualifications Training and Education: GPA of at least 3.0 in a major field of study in a scientific discipline and currently enrolled. Experience: At least one year of coursework in major field of study in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, or directly related discipline. Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Highly organized and meticulous. Physical Requirements: Lift up to 20 lbs. Regular and consistent attendance.
