Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor for a clinical laboratory in Central New Jersey. This full-time role involves managing lab operations under the guidance of the Lab Director, ensuring accurate and timely testing while maintaining compliance with state, national, and accrediting agency regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Toxicology testing.
• Manage lab supplies, purchasing, and inventory.
• Ensure quality control, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Interpret test data and communicate results effectively.
• Supervise and train lab staff, handling hiring, performance management, and competency evaluations.
• Maintain and update SOPs and safety protocols.
• Optimize lab efficiency and workflow in collaboration with the Lab Director.
• Performs and documents all quality controls with corrective actions.
• Operates and maintains laboratory diagnostic equipment and ensures equipment is functioning properly.
• Ensures all specimens are processed in a timely manner and rotated among staff.
• Contributes to the establishment of a highly professional department to provide exceptional quality service.
• Participates in the hiring, disciplinary action, and performance management of lab staff.
• Collaborates with the Director to improve operational efficiency; develops and implements recommendations to improve operations and optimize customer service.
• Prepares analytical reports to effectively communicate departmental performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree & active Medical Technologist license are required.
• 6+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Leadership experience in a CLIA-certified lab is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical testing, instrumentation, blood testing, urinalysis, and toxicology.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Job Details:

• Full-time, Day Shift
• 85-90k salary (DoE)
