Clinical Relations Specialist; AES (Remote & Local Driving in Anderson area)

This role is part of Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES), a business unit of PPD that offers both sponsors and contract research organizations best-in-class clinical trial research site and patient enrollment solutions, with tiered offerings combining the expertise, as needed, of industry leaders PPD, Synexus, Acurian and Optimal Research.
As a Clinical Relations Specialist, you will be a key member impacting the development and research for therapeutics for patients.

Summarized Purpose:
Supports the delivery of recruitment objectives by accessing patients suitable for clinical studies at the sites through all forms of community outreach activities. Cultivates relationships within the community, including GP and hospital networks, Key Opinion leaders in the community and managers/leaders in other institutions that may provide access to patients.
Essential Functions:
Supports the delivery of recruitment objectives, business growth and randomization targets by taking responsibility for the recruitment, engagement and retention of patients at the sites.
Builds a strong network with medical partners to strengthen the awareness of clinical trials. Including cold calling new offices.
Locates, schedules and attends various community wide events that allows face-to-face interaction to obtain opt-in database leads.
Cultivates and maintain respectable relations with the community and promote clinical trials attend community events.
Ensures an increase to the database and actively contributes to initiatives and strategies to enroll potential participants onto the database.
Distributes flyers, posters and other advertising material as appropriate to increase awareness of clinical trials.
Ensures technology is utilized to the fullest extent in recruitment strategies to secure on-time enrollment.
Manages projects and act as point of contact for various internal clients.
Home based, but daily local travel is required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Experience in Patient Recruitment, cold-calling or interest in Pharma sales
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good planning, organization and time-management skills with ability to effectively prioritize workload
Solid interpersonal and problem-solving skills to enable working in a multicultural matrix organization
Good written and verbal communication skills

Working Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.
Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
Frequent mobility required.
Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.
