Job Description

Pay Rate: $35.43 per hour.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• All Field activities relating to the collection of unpaid/delinquent accounts, high bill investigations and other related work.
• Shall perform functions relating to the troubleshooting, replacement, installing, repairing, reading, and other related work as assigned of water meters and meter reading devices for all sizes of meters at management's discretion.
• Locate and operate curb stops and valves for all size meters.
• Makes repairs and adjustments such as packing box leaks, replacing or installing meter couplings, unions, nipples, values, AMI, or other related reading equipment, etc.
• Reports any unusual conditions observed on customers' premises, such as, but not limited to, tampered meters or unauthorized use.
• Will substitute for the Leader Meter Department position first, in order of seniority.
• Creates and maintains records and reports related to work performed/assigned on a daily basis.
• Performs snow removal as required.
• Performs similar, related, or lesser duties when assigned.
• Assists Leader Meter Department with stock inventory as directed.

Work Environment:

• Shift work requirement, Monday - Saturday.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

• High School Diploma/GED is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must perform emergency standby duty.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

• Must have a valid State Driver's License.
