Your mission: Build deep and strategic relationships CCG commercial leaders ensuring growth of revenue and profitability while exceeding the customer’s expectations every day. Your goal: Collaborate with Healthcare Market Division counterpart to build consistent customer experiences across CCG and cultivate an environment of continuous learning and development WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    • Use Supplier Diversity strategic objectives to improve potential with 10-20, >$5M target customers
    • Partner with multiple functional areas to build 1-2 RFPs per month in excess of $2M per year
    • Engage with customers and suppliers to tackle problems, solve and deliver efficient financial and contractual results
    • Analyzes sophisticated business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers.
    • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
    • Seek projects (as assigned) to develop an overall solution for the end user community. These projects will span beyond on the assigned territory and may expand beyond the division.
    • Act as the department representative to senior leadership when reporting out project results when serving as project lead.
    • May provide consultation to managers and lead cross functional teams to address business issues. For sophisticated projects, a second team member may be assigned. Would have to assume team lead to achieve critical metrics in a timely manner.
    • Independently make decisions, but also utilize available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources
    • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities targeting 5% share gain on base business per year. Work with suppliers in other divisions of Thermo Fisher Scientific for multi-year projects
    • Research industry activity to stay informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan
    • Directly produce datasets and reports using system reporting tools.
    • Lead pricing within territory to improve profitability
    • Counsel customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control

    HOW WILL YOU GET HERE? EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or similar field required.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience (sales, customer service, consulting) required.
    • Research laboratory industry experience preferred.
    • Background in Supplier Diversity preferred
    • Understanding of Tier 1 and Tier 2 federal and state guidelines/definitions preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff on all levels
    • Excellent project management skills. Ability to prioritize, manage time efficiently, and raise issues appropriately
    • Consistent record to quickly learn computer software applications and efficiently utilize Salesforce.com and MS Office suite of applications
    • Consistent record executing cross-functional projects, succeed in a matrix management environment and work independently
    • ABILITY TO TRAVEL 50%
    • Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routing testing, per client discretion
