    Position Purpose:

    The Commissioning Engineer will support Veolia’s Capital and Asset Management Departments with equipment turnover and system commissioning expertise at (2) Water Reclamation Facilities (WRFs) in Milwaukee, WI.

    The key objective of this position is to validate that assets have been thoroughly tested, meet design criteria, operate as intended, and that all turnover documentation is thorough, correct and complete to ensure the most cost-effective and sustainable life cycle for the asset is achieved.

    Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Safely perform commissioning and qualification activities.
    • Generate commissioning and qualification protocols.
    • Participate and provide feedback in Design Reviews.
    • Review and validate turnover packages, transmittals, O&M manuals, etc.
    • Validate that assets operate as intended and meet all design criteria.
    • Act as the bridge between capital projects and O&M Teams.
    • Work with Asset Management Department (Planners, Supv, Reliability Specialists) to promote Early Equipment Management (EEM).
    • Help guide the implementation of maintenance and reliability strategies into Veolia’s corporate computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers and contractors to execute C&Q activities.
    • Identify critical spares to be on hand prior to system turnover Qualifications.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience/Background:

    • BS degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or other related field).
    • 3-5 years of experience as a C&Q engineer or equivalent experience in system design, installation, and startup.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficient technical writing skills.
    • Motivated and dynamic person with the ability to work independently and part of a team.
    • Technically oriented (engineering focus).
    • Ability to define system boundaries, externalities, and impact.
    • Knowledge of sustainable best practices.
    • Resourceful and proactive.
    • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
    • Strong listening and interpretation skills, speaks and writes effectively, reads and comprehends drawings, graphs, and charts.
    • Comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization.
    • High proficiency with computers and Google Suite.
    • Basic Data analysis and new processes adapter.

    Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

    • Preferred Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP), Project Management Professional (PMP).
