    Lighthouse Lab Services represents a client seeking a Field Service Engineer. This position is based out of either Tampa or Jacksonville, FL. With a mission to advance human health and product safety by providing integrated technology and services to their customers, this client offers unbiased, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-neutral solutions that enable innovation while delivering world-class technical service. They serve the clinical, hospital, research, reference, Toxicology, and pain management laboratory settings.

    We are also looking for an FSE with experience working with the Olympus/ Beckman Coulter AU5800 , AU480, AU680 automated chemistry analyzers.

    Position Summary
    The Field Service Engineer III performs tasks within a wide scope of laboratory functions
    affecting laboratory equipment. This position is responsible for managing internal
    equipment assets and assisting clients with same, including routine maintenance,
    troubleshooting, repairs, and customer and entry level FSEs training, vendor
    management and coordination. Provide advanced phone support for clients and entry
    level FSEs as well as on site escalations.
    This position is full-time and includes weekends as needed to meet the demands of
    current work volume. This position requires frequent travel to offsite laboratories.
    Essential Functions & Basic Duties
    1. Perform routine and incident-based EIA instrumentation maintenance and
    repairs.
    2. Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting and maintenance guidance to internal
    team members as well as for clients.
    3. Inspect, evaluate, and advise on instrument condition and valuation.
    4. Coordinate and provide offsite and onsite installations of equipment.
    5. Evaluate and advise on laboratory space and upfitting requirements appropriate
    for selected instrumentation across client laboratories.
    6. Coordinate with and advise on vendors providing services for instrumentation.
    7. Proactively promote client satisfaction.
    8. Leading the tracking and completion of projects as directed.
    9. Completes all administrative duties, including but not limited to, expense
    reporting, parts ordering, and making travel arrangements.
    10. Work independently and as part of team.
    11. This position will require overnight travel with traveling up to 80% of the
    time.

    Minimum Qualification Requirements

    Education
    Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Engineering, Medical Technology,
    Clinical Laboratory Science, or closely related field.

    Experience
    Minimum of 8 years in industrial/clinical laboratory experience that included performing
    routine and incident-based instrumentation maintenance and repairs. This experience
    should have included automated chemistry service and maintenance. Experience with
    biological sample preparation is helpful but not required.
