Triage and refer or respond to unsolicited proposals. Conduct landscape analyses, attend scientific and partnering conferences and review the scientific literature to identify opportunities that are consistent with stakeholder needs. Lead clinical collaboration and licensing projects. Contribute scientific expertise and facilitate activities in Oncology and Cancer Immunotherapy Areas. Key Job Functions: -Work with Roche Partnering Oncology Team and internal stakeholders, to understand stakeholder needs -Search scientific and business development databases, and identify and summarize relevant scientific publications -Tracks and triages incoming requests of clinical trial collaborations in Cancer Immunotherapy, identifies those of interest and respond to potential partners as appropriate -Leads interaction with potential deal partners, builds collaborative relationships from the very first contact and ensures a thorough understanding of the potential partners wants and needs and how this develops during their interaction with Roche. -Responsible for identifying and organizing the assessment and analysis of external assets for both clinical collaboration and licensing in co-ordination with BD&L Director and External Innovation group. -Negotiate clinical collaboration agreements with external partners -Lead select licensing projects for Oncology/Cancer Immunotherapy -Responsible for drafting Confidentiality Agreements and supporting the Legal team in liaising with Partners to bring them to execution. -Search clinical, scientific and business development databases, and identify and summarize relevant scientific publications -Attend scientific/clinical/partnering conferences to identify new opportunities that match our stakeholders criteria for innovative products and technologies -Monitor and attend public presentations and teleconferences of external companies of interest to Roche -Develop clinical landscape analyses for areas of focus -Input opportunities into our databases for tracking and monitoring. Profile: -Business Development Associate, -PhD Scientist with background/expertise in cancer immunology -This role could suit an MBA graduate with a strong scientific background -At least 2 Years experience in Pharma/Biotech, preferably in Partnering -Strong inclination for learning, quick learner, with interest and ability to think out of the box -Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required -Ability to work independently with a strong drive, as well as the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams is required Knowledge/Experience: -Good understanding of pharmaceuticals and drug development -Familiarity with current Oncology research and clinical landscape. -Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel in a fast pace environment, with consistently high quality. -Strong entrepreneurial mindset, team orientation. -Excellent skills with the use of Google and Microsoft Office platforms are required Prior business development experience preferred -Track record of project management experience. -Ability to interpret and synthesize data from multiple sources to quickly identify implications, and drive new insights through integration of data from all stakeholder groups -Ability to network and establish internal and external relationships to build credibility and influence. -Ability to lead and work as part of a cross-functional team, delivering individual contributions and working together for team objectives. -Ability to work in a fast moving environment.
