Intern - Early Clinical Development - Predictive Analytics South San Francisco California, United States of America Job ID:201812-131440 -The Position Target Start Date: Summer 2019 Work Hours: 40 hours per week Location: South San Francisco Length of assignment: 3 months, with potential to extend We are looking for an intern to support Genentechs Research and Early Development (gRED) Predictive Analytics (gPA) group. The gPA team is a sub-group of the Informatics Team within Early Clinical Development (ECD). gRED ECD operations manages Phase I and II clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. This internship will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day activities within gRED ECD Operations, while also obtaining a high-level understanding of the execution of clinical trials needed to bring drugs to patients. As part of gPA, the intern will provide business analytics and insights directly to gRED study teams. The selected intern may be required to: -Design a custom data analytics project -Spearhead one (or multiple) of the following gPA projects: create a repository of all gPA resources (databases, systems and tools that our group uses), build a dashboard to highlight metrics on a given Disease Area -Research specific topics and provide a summary of the research to the host and group -Tactfully interact with internal and external key stakeholders -Prioritize workloads and ensure deadlines are met -Help review study and/or department related documents and reports and liaise with accountable members to address any inconsistencies and missing information, as appropriate -Develop a poster of your learnings and present it during a gRED ECD Operations forum Assignment of tasks may change based on the interests of the intern and/or needs of gPA.
