HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Graduate Leadership Development Program (GLDP) provides a unique opportunity for high potential advanced degree graduates to develop the skills necessary for careers as General Managers at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The program is managed by a dedicated Program Manager with oversight by senior leaders within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Our General Management Program enables participants to experience multiple rotation assignments over two years to provide a broad experience in different facets of general management while allowing for exposure to our core processes, technologies, and leaders. Each rotation is individually designed and determined through a combination of business priorities and individual interests which allows you to be located at any US Thermo Fisher Scientific location. The GLDP rotations expose program participants to diverse functional areas, business units, products/services, and geographical areas. Additional learning opportunities round out the two-year development program and include: three formal learning sessions, an Executive Mentor program, monthly meetings, and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Action Learning Project, participation in company-wide leadership programs, and a network of Graduate Leadership Development Program graduates across the company.
ROTATIONS INCLUDE EXPOSURE TO:
Annual Operating Plans
Company processes and systems
Emerging markets
Manufacturing plants
Strategic initiatives
Senior Leaders
Relocation is REQUIRED both during and after completion of the program. Some rotations may require travel, either domestic or international.
The GLDP affords participants an outstanding chance to create results, quickly gain credibility and develop a strong company network over two years. From a post-program placement perspective, participants will work with their Program Manager to identify positions in which to interview across the organization.
LOCATION/DIVISION SPECIFIC INFORMATION
GLDPs will complete a 2-year program consisting of 3 rotations which could include (but not limited to) 8-month rotations in the Boston Metro area; Carlsbad, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; or Greenville, NC.
