Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent an established reference laboratory that is adding toxicology testing to their menu! This laboratory is located in Lafayette, LA and are looking for two LCMS operators to join their team on the night shift.

Shift: Nights

Position Overview:

• Provide technical and scientific guidance and support to the Laboratory Director.
• Excellent knowledge of CLIA statute and accreditation requirements.
• Ensure that all duties are properly performed and applicable CLIA regulations are met.
• Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
• Responsible for communicating company goals, policies, deadlines, monitoring and reporting on the team's performance to Executives and stakeholders.
• Provides input and ensures compliance to laboratory workflow and process improvements.
• Ensure all duties are properly performed according to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
• Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.
• Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals.
• Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
• Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications.
• Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning.
• Handles all administration related to hiring/firing, performance management and evaluations, coaching, training, etc. of all testing personnel.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
• Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year experience in high complexity testing in a toxicology laboratory conducting LC/MS testing required
• Louisiana State License
• Experience with Sciex is a plus
• Previous experience with toxicology sample prep required
