Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a dynamic healthcare facility to build out an additional laboratory in Louisville, KY. We are in search for a Lab Manager with a solid background in Chemistry, Hematology, and CAP requirements to join that team!

About the Role

Our ideal candidate is a dynamic Lab Manager with good experience in both hematology and chemistry to provide expert guidance and support in setting up and managing all laboratory operations, testing, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and staff management and training. This role is critical to ensuring the laboratory meets and exceeds industry standards and delivers accurate and timely results for patient care.

Technical Oversight:

• Provide technical guidance and oversight for laboratory operations, including test selection, method validation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results through regular review and quality control measures.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure the laboratory complies with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including CLIA and other accrediting bodies.
  
• Prepare and assist in regulatory inspections and proficiency testing under CAP guidelines.

Quality Assurance:

• Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and quality control programs to maintain the highest standards of laboratory testing.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous quality improvement.

Training and Development:

• Provide training and continuing education for laboratory staff on new techniques, protocols, and equipment.
• Mentor and support laboratory personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Operational Support:

• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance laboratory services.
• Collaborate with the Laboratory Director and other stakeholders to optimize laboratory workflows and efficiency.

Other duties as assigned by the medical team and Lab Director.

Candidate Profile

• B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
• Qualify as technical supervisor under CLIA/CAP guidelines and have at least 4 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing for both chemistry and hematology.
• Previous Management Experience strongly preferred
• Experience with CAP requirements and inspection protocols required.
• MT/MLS (ASCP) or equivalent preferred

Salary/Benefits/Schedule

• $102-132K/year Depending on Experience
• Full-Benefits including medical, dental, short and long term disability, 401K with company match, paid holidays and a generous vacation package
• 1st shift, M-F 4:00am - 12:00pm
• Sign on bonus up to $5,000 available ($2500 upon start, $2500 upon successful completion of 90 days in role).
