    The intern role is a key support towards Cytiva's current facility expansion and process equipment qualification efforts here in Logan, Utah. You will work with various engineering disciplines and departments. These teams specialize in electro-mechanical design, equipment automation controls, facilities, quality, validation, and manufacturing value streams. Your internship experience will include learning professional skills, business acumen, receiving feedback, and key networking opportunities. Your work will contribute to the facility following ISO 13485 quality management and regulatory standards designed to provide safe, quality products that help save lives.

    What you'll do

    • Summer Internship 2025 (May - Aug)

    • Draft equipment qualification studies (i.e., system volume, mixer RPM setpoints, cleaning development, Mixing, etc.)

    • Perform equipment qualification studies (i.e., gathering samples, recording data, compiling data, etc.)

    • Write engineering reports and test protocols

    • Organize, sort, and file relevant documentation for equipment (i.e., design files, manufacturing drawings, P&ID, manuals, spare parts list, PM schedules, test protocols, etc.)

    • Actively engage and support engineering priorities related to expansion efforts

    • Evaluate safety, quality, production, and cost/efficiency of equipment.

    • Ensure that engineering support is performed in compliance with cGMP regulations and company policies/procedures.

    • Design, develop, create, install, and assist in production processes and equipment qualification.

    • Create and execute process equipment qualification protocols (IQ/OQ).

    • Support engineering teams and engage with third-party engineering services, suppliers, and external partners to ensure designs meet intended use requirements

    Who you are

    • Availability Summer of 2025 (May - Aug)

    • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering/technical degree (i.e., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, etc.)

    • Excellent oral and written communication

    • Thrives while working within a cross-functional team environment

    • Ability to work independently at times

    • Demonstrate Initiative and show attention to detail

    • Intellectual curiosity to understand what you don't know

    • Ability to apply scientific and engineering skills to evaluate and develop processes

    • Willing to offer practical solutions to technical challenges

    • Mechanical proficiency and hands-on experience with machine design a plus

    The hourly range for this role is $25.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
