    Position Overview:

    As a Medical Technologist or Medical Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in performing a variety of lab tests across multiple departments, including molecular chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, and serology. You’ll work diligently to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results, following strict quality assurance guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform and oversee testing across all lab departments (molecular chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, serology) while adhering to prescribed quality assurance procedures.
    • Conduct routine quality control checks (daily, weekly, and monthly) and ensure maintenance of temperature logs, specimen rotation, and disposal of expired specimens.
    • Evaluate test results, verifying their validity against expected outcomes as outlined in procedure manuals.
    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate lab equipment to ensure peak performance.
    • Manage inventory of reagents, calibrators, controls, and other supplies, ensuring all items are restocked and readily available.
    • Participate in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of new reagents or controls.

    Candidate Qualifications:

    • Must be ASCP or AMT certified.
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related field (or 24 credits in Chemistry/Biology meeting CLIA requirements).
    • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment.
    • Proficient in using computers; experience with laboratory information systems is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Competitive pay: $25 - $35/hour, plus shift differential (based on experience)
