Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a highly skilled Molecular Technologist to join a clinical laboratory in the North Houston, TX area.

Position Overview:
As a Molecular Technologist, you will play a critical role in conducting PCR molecular testing and ensuring the highest quality standards in our laboratory. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in PCR molecular testing and meet the qualifications of a General Supervisor under CLIA regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PCR molecular testing, including sample preparation, amplification, and data analysis.
• Maintain laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with CLIA regulations.
• Monitor laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
• Assist in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure reliable test results.
• Supervise and train laboratory personnel as needed, ensuring adherence to CLIA standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights for patient care.
• Ensure proper documentation of test results, maintenance logs, and other relevant laboratory records.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in molecular testing and implement best practices in the lab.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, clinical laboratory science, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCR molecular testing.
• Must qualify as a General Supervisor under CLIA regulations (21 CFR 493.1461).
• Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostic techniques, including PCR.
• Familiarity with CLIA regulations and laboratory compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:
Range: $60,000-$70,000 depending on experience level (No relocation assistance provided).
